Wilderness Survival Self-Assessment Tool

Personnal Survival Rating (PSR)

Image

Each of us has natural predispositions, skills acquired through learning, and habits developed through experience that can foster the success of a wilderness experience. The personal survival rating (PSR) self-evaluation tool, was developed to facilitate comprehension and assessment of these components and increase autonomy and security in a natural environment.

To calculate your PSR, rate each criteria to the best of your knowledge and your objectivity. Please note that rating examples 1 (minimum), 5 (medium), and 10 (maximum) are only indicative.
